Published in the
Merrimack Valley Magazine. This was a wonderful commission by the Haverhill Niddle middle school. A number of artists were brought in to paint the town with images of historians. I choose George Washington, Roland M. Mace, Ringling Brother of a famous horse rider through Haverhill. Ringling paraded down the streets in Haverhill, years gone by, but mostly I had the honor of teaching a class of children how to paint a mural. They painted on the 3 Mural with their names signed. The kids were wonderful and a gift for me to see how at a very young age. I was to be encouraged to paint something wonderful. I reminded the children they can show their grandchildren the famous painting they did with Ms. Susan.
The murals are in a historic school for safe keeping. The school is slated to become an art center. It was bought from City and work to restore will be underway soon. They just had an open house a few weeks back. These murals are now stored and waiting to be permanently hung in the "Haverhill Art Museum "upon completion of the museum's restoration.

Susan Decker homeowner of their Circa' 1696 antique home on Joppa Flats of 39 yrs. where they raised their 3 children now grown and blessed Susan with 4 amazing grandchildren.
Susan created quite the presence throughout with her marketing skills and talent after Decker's Art Studio grand opening in 1992
The most Enchanting Christmastime Main Street in the Country Is Newburyport in Massachusetts.
Its seaside location and historic buildings make it an almost Dickenson spot to soak up a bit of holiday cheer.
By far the most enchanting spot in town on the holidays is Market Square.
My memories of Newburyport.
So much history in this ole whaling town from the 1600's. Where George Washington, Author Robert Frost and Henry David Thoreau essayist, poet and philosopher author, Walden and his essay, "Civil Disobedience" originally published as "Resistance to Civil Government"
and drank their spirit of whiskey and stayed many a night at the old Chain Link Bridge Tavern Inn that Decker's cousin acquired and restored back in 2000
The men told ole lie's as they philosophize into the wee hours as they wrote their galley's to there now famous books.
Friend of Susan's and her best art critic, her neighbor, the late David Stevens died in New Zeland. His partner, Loren Boothby told The Hollywood Reporter. David a young 77 July 21, 2018.

1950 Oldy's But Goodies Mural Chubby's Diner Salisbury, Ma. Commissioned me to design the dining area Diner Salisbury, Ma. I crafted 9 Murals of John Wayne, Rooster Cogburn, 3 of Elvis, Marilyn Monroe's famous skirt blowing up by the fan, Jackie Gleason in his bus from the Honeymooners, and Bogie & Lauren BaCall from Casablanca.

Kate Hudson, owner, commissioned me to design 13 sports life size murals remembered by all. Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, The Bruins, Nebraska, Famous Dartmouth Lacrosse player, cliff climbers, 20ft high down hill dropping into the river kayak-er below, mother jogging with stroller and more.
